Why Do You Want to Join Saponitown Forum?:

Heard stories of Black Dutch, and Blackfoot, Cherokee ancestory. This seemed like to the place to find long lost kinfolk and perhaps find the missing pieces.

Update 2013
After years of research I can proudly say I can trace my ancestors back to Southampton County VA and the Ivey and Brooks families from there. Also I discovered a tie to the Chavis family. My family did live near Ft. Christanna and moved to Granville Co. NC in the 1750s and were tied to the Haithcocks somehow. I found lots of great clues from this forum which pointed me in the right direction.
