    Hi,

    My maiden name is SHORT. We come originally from Va. and then, Granville Co., NC. I don't recognize the Chaffin or Goins names from my genealogy, but I thought it was interesting that you are researching SHORTs. I am researching mainly CHAPMANs and HARGROVEs (which are scant on this site).
