I was born in San Diego becase both my parents werr Marines. My father was from Waxahachie, TX and my mother is from Dover, NJ. I have one sister and one living brother, my older half brother was murdered as an officer on the job in Oak Cliff, TX.

I am descended from several families that are lsted as black in the Anson Co. 1815 tax list. My quest in this area started with finding who the father of my William Bennett was in Alabama whose descendants claimed to be Chickasaw. Turns out Joel Bennett and Jane Ashcraft moved to Chikasaw territory before the removal of CHickasaws and were both from Anson Co. Jane's ancestor was an OHOLABAMA from Brunswick Co, VA. born 1745 and is believed to be SAPONI. I am also descended from indian trader families Poythress, Pace, etc. and I may also be Chowanoke.
