Why Do You Want to Join Saponitown Forum?:
I have been researching my family for a long time. I have always been told of my Indian heritage. I have researched my grandfather's side and am working on my paternal grandmother's side, the Shifflett's. I found out through another Shifflett decendant about a woman named Peachy Self and another named Chocahy. One, if not both of these women were possibly from the Saponi's. I'm trying to find out more about them. I have always and will be forever proud of my Indian heritage. I believe what I have been told all my life. A card does not make me Indian. I am just on a quest to find out more about my family.
