You are most definitely related with the information you have shared. Send me a PM with your email. I can connect you with a cousin I will see this coming weekend who can give you more information on the Greens. She will be most interested in your information also. She lives in Colombus, OH, or at least did. I think she is looking to fulltime in her camper.
I descend from Regnald to his daughter Elizabeth, her daughter Nancy Huston, her son Matthew Huston, his daughter, Elizabeth Sinkey, her daughter, Mary Lovina Potter, her son, Ernest Ralston, my grandmother, my mother, and me.

Jogdelog! Welcome to SaponiTown.
Have you seen Ted Collins’ site: About My COLLINS Research including BUNCH, BURNETT, HURST, HUTCHISON, PETTYJOHN, BLACKSTONE, BARLOW etc.
There are 400+ Bennetts listed there, and also many Brown, Ross, and Evans.
December 3, 2003 at 2:13 am #37356I don’t know if this helps, but my family surnames that have speculated Saponi connections are my Morris line {primarily from Powhatan County, VA} and the Goode line {also primarily from Powhatan county but found in nearby counties as well}. These lines are related through marriage.
December 3, 2003 at 2:13 am #37532All paternal side
Thacker – Branham – Lemay – Dalton – Vaughn –
And through my YDNA profile, which does not match to Thacker, I am looking for Swift and Sanders that may tie-in to the 1600s to early 1800s Louisa County area. I am aware of the Swift and Sanders of the Regulator who ended-up in Virginia after the Battle of Alamance in 1771. Still nailing-down if my DNA lines tie to individuals of that group.

Hello,
I am a direct descendant of a woman listed on geneology websites as a cherokee indian native. Her name was Diaisampi Rampus Goss after she married Matthew Goss. They were the parents of Matthew William Goss and he was the father of Milligan C. Goss, whose photograph I’ve been looking at all my life on the mantle in my granny and pawpaw’s home. I have attached this photograph.
I am desperate to help solve this mystery of Diaisampi and where she came from. Hoping to find answers and perhaps a few unknown relatives.
thanks,

December 3, 2003 at 2:13 am #38068Hi, Everyone,
These are some of the surnames for my mother’s family, from multiple lines, most proven, some proposed, in the research I’ve found. Many of them were from Virginia/North Carolina area. Some of them overlap with many of yours. My mom’s family were primarily from the South. We had a tradition that we were Indian, and some of my family look Indian.
I’ve researched for a number of years now. I’d be happy to share information with you if you are interested. Happy to be on here with you finally.

December 3, 2003 at 2:13 am #38090Hello all. Thank you for allowing me to join this group.
I am currently helping a close friend research her Bass family line that are out of Sampson Co., NC.
The earliest confirmed family members we have found are:
Jenkins BASS born 1800-1802 and died about Jan. 1865 Sampson Co., NC
Jenkins married a Calen/Colen/Callin DUDLEY about 1820-1822.
Am finding nothing on who Jenkins parents were/are. Family word of mouth dictates Jenkins BASS is some how related to the Capt. Nathaniel/Nathaniell BASS/BASSE from Jamestown, VA and also to a Native American princess. Sadly over the years the connection from Jenkins to Nathaniel has been lost via oral tradition. DNA testing has yet to be done but money is being saved up for testing to take place.
If anyone has run across this Jenkins BASS in their lines or research and any other helpful information is greatly appreciated.
Erin
December 3, 2003 at 2:13 am #38091Hi, Erin,
That name sounds familiar to me. Are you familiar with James Nickens, the Indian genealogist? He has a page on Facebook and reports there regularly on his research into the mixed-blood families, including the Bass family.
I hope that helps some.
