Happy Birthday to Greydove and all the others that are celebrating today! Hope you have many, many more…..may you to live to the ripe ole age of 100….and never look a day over 20. May Creator bless you today and all the other days……pass the cake and ice cream.
Thank you Becky, Bee and All and also Happy Birthday to Shadowlady, Sondra and Deirdre!! I feel so blessed to have my health, friends and family on this 58th yr of life. Oh sure it ain’t all been a bowl of cherries but when the storm is big, don’t complain to Creator about how big it is~Talk to the storm and tell it how big Creator is!!~That has been my creed to survive this life so far. Take care and Blessings to All~~:) Greydove~^~PS~My husband took me out to dinner to my favorite Mexican restaurant~too full for cake and icecream??!!Maybe this wkend~~Later:D
Oh, Mexican sounds great..my daughter and Ken love their fajitas…I love the vegetarian taco salads. You mean he didn’t have them sing to you and put the hat on????? Shame on him……we always get a kick out of that. Of course we could always have blackberry cobbler, too…made one last night out of fresh berries….um, um good.
Oh Becky~~Fresh blackberry cobbler warm out of the oven sounds like heaven to me!! No, I didn’t get the hat & sing treatment, but that’s ok. My husband, Don, will be having his 60th this coming Dec. 5 and I may have it done for him~~lol~~he’s not big on bdays~I don’t know why. When he turned 50 I was going to have a surprise party for him but he told me if I did he would leave~(big baby, huh?) Take care and eat a piece of blackberry cobbler for me, ok? That’s when you sit back and think~life is goooood!!;) ~Grey
It was really good….if the peaches ever get to tasting good, I want to make a peach one….they are so simple, it just takes a few minutes.
When you go to a Mexican restaurant, if they know it’s a birthday…I call ahead and tell them….they put a sombrero on you and sing…and then feed you the flan dessert…and usually smash it onto/up your nose…it’s funny if you know what’s coming….some people get offended…I think it’s a great tribute…and tradition. Tell you hubby that celebrating a birthday is celebrating life…..at least he’s above ground, eh????
