Hello Biblio, your Jack Goins sounds familiar. I am cousins to a Jack Goins that is still alive, last I heard but very much up in age. He has 2 sons that I know of Jackie and Kevin. Any of this sound familiar? Also, you may want to check out Goinstown Descendants group on Facebook. You may have some luck in there.
I have a call out to my indigenous folks on this site. I have been praying and praying to find my connections. If any. My spirit is weary. I have spoken to some Occaneechi friends who are familiar with Goinstown. Some have stated they have family from there. I am not asking for anyone to tell me their lineage, only to tell me if any of mine are connected to theirs. Does that make sense? I’m not certain to Saponi origins at all, so I am not claiming anything. Just need help so that I do not disrespect anyone else’s ancestors nor my own. I hope I am making sense. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am tired of being in an indigenous community with friends and cannot speak to who I am, my own origins. I do not want to be a “pretendian”. Thanks so much to whoever reads this and helps.
Thank you so much! Finally made it back in. I am actually searching both Lula Hickman/Rickman’s line as well as Fletcher’s line. I must admit that both have given me some great difficulty. It would appear that a lot of Lula’s is already here. As for Fletcher’s, not so much. This is what I know…

Hello! Lord I hope someone is still out there. It’s 2022. I am Lula Ann Hickman (Rickman) Harris’s great granddaughter. I have been researching into our family. Is there any truth to our “native” blood or just hearsay?
Hello to anyone still out there…? I am Junior Loyas Harris’s granddaughter. He is the son of Fletcher Harris & Lula/Lulu Ann Hickman Harris. Lula’s mother and father were Peter Rickman and Mazariah Rickman. Jennie Richardson is my great grand aunt. I’m hoping that someone has some information that can help?
