I skimmed the first chapter and had to chuckle. Not all of the families that Lord Fairfax settled on his land in Virginia came from Britain. My Green family also was one of these families, and we do not think the background of this family came entirely from white immigrants of Britain (or anywhere else in Europe for that matter.)
