I have not been here for years, but I will try to participate more regularly.  I recently found a line on my tree that intrigued me, because it might include a Revolutionary War patriot for the DAR (It does not.), and I cannot believe I did not explore this line in more depth.  I looked at it years ago but never pursued it until someone else’s tree popped up with the same name, and the children were identified as Native (mixed).  The surname is Johns, so I am poking around seeing if this line might be part of the founding line of the Monacan Johns.  My Nancy Johns or Ann Nancy Johns ended up in Bedford, VA one of the locations of the historical Monacans.

Any help?

I will reply to my own comment.  I disproved this ancestor.  She was a second wife, not the first wife who would have been my direct ancestor.  Bedford County clearly lists her as a widow marrying a widower and court records show her second husband helping to deal with the estate of her first husband.  Interestingly enough, according to Google AI, some of my family of my 3rd great grandfather, a judge in Madisonville, KY, thought she was their ancestor also, and applied to be listed on the Guion-Miller list.  They were refused.
