Before you head to the drugstore for a high-priced inhaler filled with mysterious chemicals, try chewing on a couple of curiously strong Altoid Peppermints. They’ll clear up your stuffed nose.
Achy muscles from a bout of the flu? Mix 1 Tablespoon of Horseradish in a cup of Olive Oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply it as a massage oil, for instant relief for aching muscles.

Easy eyeglass protection… To prevent the screws in eyeglasses from loosening, apply a small drop of Maybelline Crystal Clear Nail Polish to the threads of the screws before tightening them.
Coca-Cola Cure for rust… Forget those expensive rust removers.
Just saturate an abrasive sponge with Coca Cola and scrub the rust stain.

Rainy day cure for dog odor… Next time your dog comes in from the rain, simply wipe down the animal with Bounce or any dryer sheet, instantly making your dog smell springtime fresh.

Quaker Oats for fast pain relief…. It’s not for breakfast anymore! Mix 2 cups of Quaker Oats and 1 cup of water in a bowl and warm in the microwave for 1 minute, cool slightly, and apply the mixture to your hands for soothing relief from arthritis pain.

In this season of colds, flu, etc I have been making mullien tea and sweetning with honey, also the boiling of onions still works for colds and the onion poltice is just as effective now as ever!
I appreciate all those old home remedies, please keep em going.

😀 I have got to tell you, a few years ago, some goofy gal came into our store and told me that preparation H get’s rid of those fine lines and crows feet. Well, idiot that I am, I took some home and tried it and woke up the next morning with hives all over my face!:eek: But thank you! You have a lot of other good stuff here.;) I’ll stick to tea bags or cucumber slices for the puffyness. I only get the puffies when I sit up too late on the computer at night! Love & Light, Lynella.

Here’s a couple more; cold sores that are just starting, apply an ice cube to the sore spot and retain it there for some time until you lip is almost froze works for me, this kills the bug and you have no side effects.
Fresh asparagus in the spring (pick it yourself) eat it steamed for 4 days once or twice aday and you’ll notice the cure after going “number one”!
Burn horse tail plant and save the ash for a blood stopper on scraps etc.

The ice thing has worked for me a few times, L-Lysene enzyme works the best, taken with milk.
Try Parsley tea for the same thing as the asparagrus! I just found that one out a few weeks ago!:eek:
