Coming from Hwy 58:
Turn south on Hwy 4 (this is about five miles east of Boydton, ten miles west of South Hill). Take that about 8 miles till you reach Kerr dam. Don’t turn onto the dam, but keeping going onto what turns into Mays Chapel Road. Look for the Entrance to North Bend Park. Tell them you are my guest, Linda Carter. I’m in A12. They charge $2 a carload for day use. Saturday is the big day. If you want to camp overnight, there is still room available.
Coming from Hwy 85:
Take 85 to Oine, exit 229. Take Oine north for about 4 miles, you’ll see signs directing you to John Kerr dam. Follow them. Once you cross the dam, you’ll turn left onto Mays Chapel Road and look for the entrance to North Bend Park. Tell them you are my guest, Linda Carter, I’m in A12.
