Thru a general google seach I found this forum….Several of you have responded to Billie Lee Masters who is from the same Brooks line I am. William Brooks & Nancy Locke from Virginia.
My Line is William Brooks/Nancy anne Locke
b 1782 Wm Brooks m Catharine Cole
b. 1819 John Milton Brooks(Cumberland co ky) m Julia Wright
b. 1850 Edgar Clay Brooks(Boone co Mo) m Lissa Eustace
Lissa Eustace was the daughter of Elizabeth Branham and John Eustace, Elizabeth Branham b 1835 was the daughter of John Larkin Branham and Mourning Boulware of Ky. My Branham line runs back thru the Branhams & Boulwares to the early 1600’s in Va. I have seen different listing of Branham as Native American, but I don’t. There is an old tin type of Elizabeth Branham born 1830’s and she has alot of Indian features, she was also 6 foot tall.
Can anyone help out? Also would love any information about Catharine Cole….she married Wm Books in Garrard co ky in 1803 & she was in Boone co Mo in the 1850 census (living with her son-in-law Burrell Hunter) the census says birth place New Jersey, but I can’t hardly believe that.
