Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I am still seeking information on Zachariah Senter. He supposedly bought land in Surry County,NC,Area called Little Fisher’s River. This land was left to his son,John Senter.Zachariah was born sometime in 1750’s and died before 1850 in Surry County,NC.I am wondering if Zachariah Senter connects to Stephen Senter who had land at Stewart Creek,Henry County,Virginia in 1780.Stewarts Creek is next to Little Fishers River, flowed to Carroll Co.Va,and Surry Co.NC.zachariah Senter bought his land from a Margaret Nelson on Aug.15,1786.Witnesses were,Elijah Smallwood and Thomas Ross. Also another Deed for Surry County, dated 6 Nov.1791.John Taliaferro of Surry to Zachariah Senter of Surry-100 pounds,250 A in Surry. And another Deed 23 Aug.1793,Zachariah Senter of Surry to William Arden of Surry,70 pounds,250 acres on both sides of Beaverdam Creek-Acknowledged in Feb.court 1802 by Zachariah Senter. Can anyone help with this puzzle?
