Hey!
I think I have a breakthrough. I’ve been working on this for a few days now.
Moses Smith Born in Caswell Co NC C1784. Married 2-25-1813 to Frances Allen in Franklin Co Ky. Father Charles Allen, Mother Frances Anderson. Moses and Frances have several Smith children, one being Memucan Smith. They are in Scott co Ky where Moses dies.
Bill, remember all of those census records you found for me in Franklin 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830 for Allen and Whites? two Memucan Allens, but Memucan Sr. didn’t have a Jr. I think his brother Charles may have. But I’ve never been able to find who he married etc. Found another daughter Nancy Allen married to John Browder. Sarah we already had married Andrew Anerson. That’s 3 children of Charles. Am I on the right track? Bill? Sue J

That was a typo on previous post. That was Andrew Anderson.
Moses Smith’s father is Peter Smith. Found his will in Caswell co Nc, mother of Moses is Jemima Simpson. Moses Smith, one of 14 children. Charles Allen was in Caswell prior to Franklin co Ky, later Anderson co Ky. Thanks again. Sue J
Memucan Sr and Jr were in 1830 Anderson Co.
Memucan and “Cho” (male – prob? Charles) Allen were next door in 1820 Franklin Co, both 45 and over, along with Anderson Allen, 26 to 44.
1810 Franklin Co census:

Charles Allen, 45 and over, was next door to Anderson Allen, 26 to 44.
p.107
“Allen, Memucan Lew”, 45 and over.
(‘Lew’ is actually “Senr’ ? Not out of the question but this census taker’s ‘L’ and ‘S’ are written very differently)
On the 1801 Franklin Co Ky Tax List, dated 8/10/1801:
ALLIN, Anderson
ALLIN, Charles
ALLIN, Memucan Sr
ALLIN, Memucan Jr (so where is this guy in 1810 & 1820?)

so, I don’t think this proves much but if Memucan Sr did not have a Memucan Jr, then Charles would be a logical choice.
