For some time now I’ve been trying to figure my Mary White ancestors out. I ran across this today.

This may not make sense, except that in the 1830 Anderson co Ky census is Presley White who I have tried to trace and also Phillip White in 1810 Franklin co Ky census.
Anderson co is made of parts of Franklin, Mercer and washington later.
I have Phillip White back and Presley too.
Both are on census’s with Memucan Allin (Allen) who married Mary White, my 5th gr grandparents. I found the grave of Phillip White in Anderson co Ky. Phillip from Hanover co ky born 1-12-1766 died in 1822. Wife Lucy Mills 1769-1822. Same year? John Barrett White and …
Jane Clark White and Peyton White..says died young. Well, Phillip White goes back to Barrett White and Elizabeth Stark..Barrett born July 22 1727 Louisa co Va died 1782 Roanoke Va. Father John White b Circa 1695 and wife Catherine ???MNU. Father Henry White and Mary Croshaw.. but in searching Presley White, I found Presley married Lucy Hawkins in Mercer co Ky..Lucy daughter of Ann Bourne and Benjamin Hawkins..Ann Bourne..parents Jane Morton and Andrew Bourne..Andrew born C1711, brother of Christian Bourne who married William Tapp. Down the line of this Tapp marriage is Vincent Tapp and Rosanna Hopson..Daughter Eliza Tapp marries David Allen and daughter Martha Tapp marries Charles Allen Jr. Both Allen sons of Charles Allen and Nancy Melton. Charles, son of Drury Allen and Lurana Hartgrove (Hargrove, Hargrave) cont.
Back to White. On Anderson co ky census is also Stephen White b. 1718. Part of this was on another thread here, Lucas, Allen, Cargill. I don’t see Stephen with a daughter Mary. But I did see where John White dies very close to when Mary would be born, that is the John who married Catherine MNU. I wonder if Phillip born 1766 and Mary born about 1758 are brother and sister? What I don’t get is that the Tappico/Tapp and the Wicocomico Indians when you search with Bourne, brings up both the Wicocomico and also the Patawomeck Indian tribe of Va. I saw some Newton/Bourne connections too. There is the obituary of Gladys Hazel Newton..Gladys N. (Newton) Bourne..died May 19 2000. Said to be the oldest member of the Patawomeck. Interesting!

Okay, I’m pretty sure that Mary White and Phillip White are not brother and sister. Father of Phillip had a Mary but she married a Blackwell. Back to square one on her parents. All I know is they are related somehow. Some other researcher showed a Joshua White as her father but his Mary married somebody else. This has been the hardest line to research of all. I think I’m going to drive myself nuts! Saj
