Hi!, I saw that you have a connection with the Merritt name…I’m looking for a Samuel Merritt b. abt 1809 Knox co. TN Another source suggests that his father would have been a Samuel Merritt b. around 1780 -or earlier- around the Greenbrier co. West Virginia area. This family lived in Grangier, Knox, Polk, and Bradley TN before moving to the Ozark co. MO area. Of the people who moved to MO, their families remained primarily in Ozark co., while some spread to Douglas co.. I see that there is a Saponi group that moved into the Ozark, Douglas, Howell MO region. The Merritt name is not listed among their families at this time. Thanks for any info.
