Y’all have an enjoyable site here. I’ve been lurking for a few months, looking and learning.
Several family lines get rather mysterious, some of which may connect with some of the Saponi lines. Or not. The surnames of interest are Winburn and Rickman, both from Nansemond County, VA and married into the Holland family. A later Holland married a McBee or a Duncan.
Further north, there may be a Moravian connection to the Senecas of the Sandusky, or at least some of the missionaried Indians. That’d be Klaiss and Young (Jung).
Interestingly, I’ve got Beem ancestors, one of whom married a Green before moving to Licking County, Ohio. I’m figuring that if I’ve got no Saponi/Blackfoot or other Indian connection, some of my folks lived on the periphery of the Saponi, etc.
I’ll get around to posting specific information and quiries one of these days. Now it’s time to fix dinner for the 4th.

If you had Greens in Licking County, you are probably related or connected to me. My folks were Greens in Licking County.

I don’t recognize the Green names on that web site. I don’t remember reading of this general in the Green information I have read.
Have you read “The Green Tree?” It is the genealogy of the Green family in Licking County, that is my Green family. Maybe these are two different lines of Greens. I am in San Diego right now. When I get back, I will check my stuff for some of your surnames.
Many of my Greens are buried in Green Hill Cemetery.

Nope, never read “The Green Tree”. In fact, I hadn’t heard of it until you mentioned it. So I googled it and found an online index to it through a Licking County genealogy site. I’m guessing that our Greens are not only from different stock, but didn’t intermarry.
I’ll be interested to see if you find anything from your records.

Well, there is a marriage to a Duncan earlier. She is in my direct Green line. But that marriage was in WVA, Shepherdstown.

Thanks for checking. It looks like my Greens and your Greens don’t match.
My Duncan was from Greene County, Georgia and moved to southern Indians after marrying a Holland. She had no connection to my Greens.

Looks like there is no connection. Maybe you should post your info in the genealogy section. Bill might make a connection, who knows. I do know that some Greens went south rather than to Licking County.
