This was a Yazoo indian that went on a voyage to discover where his ancestors originated from. It is told in the first person narrative by Antoine Simon le Page du Pratz. Le Page was a Dutch-French naturalist-historian that lived with the Natchez indians in the 1700s. I don’t know how to post the link, but if you search “The history of Louisiana, by M. le Page du Pratz” and choose the project Gutenberg e-book listing, the whole account is on line. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

Thanks,
