Here are some tools to help you with your search.
If you click on this link it will take you to a list of surname files at the Bedford City/County Museum, Bedford, VA:

September 4, 2006 at 5:23 pm #22912You’re welcome. I have been working on this for a good while.
The information I’m looking for is basically about Permelia Worley, born about 1809, daughter of Henry Worley and Frances Kerr. Married 1825 to William Coleman in Bedford. He is probably the son of John Daniel Coleman (brother to Jesse Coleman). I have his date of birth anywhere from 1770 to 1803.
Family history says Permelia was Monacan. I don’t know if the Worley’s of Bedford are Monacan or not. Also, I was told the Coleman’s married Cherokee and Shawnee women but have to specific knowledge.
Any help anyone can give me I would appreciate.

Thanks for the links! I’m geographically challenged when it comes to that section of the country and basically turn in circles trying to find out where anything is compared to where it used to be.
