My great grand mother’s name was Minnie Gibson. She was from South Carolina . Her father was James Gibson they were mixed with the Cherokee and i wanted to find more info on them
Minnie married a man with the surname of Wright and his line is connected to the James of Jamestown South Carolina which is a black owned town outside of Florence South CarolinaCan’t find any info on the Gibson or Wrights Any info would be helpful

More info is needed.
Did they live in Maryland?
Did James Gibson move to Md or did he stay in SC?
What are some of the names of Minnie Gibson Wright’s children?
Any dates are helpful.
Bill
March 26, 2007 at 11:12 pm #25535Hi Bill
No James Gibson stayed in South Carolina but all of his grand children came here(Baltimore, Maryland) in the 1930’s
Some of Minnie Gibson Wight’s children were Lullie, Wallie, Eugene, Babe, Honeychild, Mat or Mathew, and my grandmother Daisy she was the only surviving girl and Minnie Gibson Wright had at least 15 children 11 survived and i do not know all of the ones that survived because most died before i was born including my grandmother and all died before i was grown and wanted to ask questions about my family’s bloodlines .
my mother is also gone so i cannot ask her either.

March 26, 2007 at 11:12 pm #25573one ? My grandmother is missing her younger two siblings one of which should be Babe and the other might not have been born yet but his name was Eugene but it was close to his birth year. but I am pretty sure that the James line of this family would have been black possibly Gullah-Giggie originally.
thanks
