Hello Everybody, I posted this info. last fall and I decided to post it again with the hopes someone may happen to see it who may have some info. I’m looking for? My GG Grandma was supposed to be of Blackfoot descent. Her maiden name was Sarah Francis Mathis born 1859 in TN. She was also known as Sarah Fine Mathis and I have also come across records where her name was spelled Mathews? Her father’s name was Toby Mathis and I know her Mother passed away when Sarh was a baby. She married Benjamin Marion Palmer( born1857-TN) in 1878 in TN. They ved from Roan County TN by covered wagon to Southern IL around the turn of the century. Their daughter Martha Hollie Palmer was born in 1898 in TN shortly before they moved to Southern IL> Hope this rings a bell with someone. I’ve looked and looked and haven’t been able to find out more about her. Thanks (Pila Huc), Jeff in STL
