I’m the granddaughter of a Titus Stevenson of blackfoot decent.he was born in Urbana,Ohio to James and Lillian Stevenson. Now from what I’ve been told my greatx2 aunt and from pictures my grandfather had she was pure blackfoot. A woman of about 5foot in hieght. I’m trying to find that part of my heiritage. I know that they came to Ohio around the late 1800’s and moved in to a black neighbor hood or section of town. I believe since no last name could be found of Lillian that she was a blackfoot and from what I’ve been told possibly of the Peidmont strand that migrated in to the area. Would like any information of or about Lillian or her family
Welcome.
Do you have more specific information on their year of birth or where in Ohio they settled or later lived?
Bill
mr childs my grand father was born in urbana ,ohio in 1906 as far as i know he lived there thru most of his childhood with 2sister and one brother thier names were berniece, james, and maurgret. i was only aware of aunt niecey and uncle jay (james), no one talked of aunt maugret(not sure of her spelling ) he married mary ravona adams in 1926
I missed the reference to Urbana in your first post. My apologies.
Found them in only a couple of census records which add nothing to the information you already have, so give me a couple days to see if I can find anything more.
