Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Ran across this today and thought I’d post it.
After King Phillip’s War (1675-1676 in present day Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island), King Phillip (his Indian name being Metacom) was killed and his wife and son, along with hundreds of other Wampanoag Indians, were sold into slavery to Bermuda. Well, guess what? Their descendants are alive and well. Their story is reminiscent of many stories here at Saponitown.
Here are several links which describe their story.

I have read many times about the southern people being sold in the “Islands” and there has been many , the Natchez of Ms and La, aswell as several Yamasee groups, Calusa’s and Timucua’s, I’d bet that there are several Nc groups aswell.
