Anyone else think that the word MELUNGEON could sound close to Mullins or “Mullins son”.

I found this site that has some Mullins info…http://groups.msn.com/mullins are also mentioned in Carlson’s dissertation as being a Scottish-Irish familly. I think Melungeon was a slur against a people that were different…
