I ran across this little ditty over the weekend and found it fascinating and slightly frightful.
It effects us all and is a good example of how our government works.

We should send this to our Congressmen and Senators. But I doubt they’d “make the connection”. I’ve said for many many years that if the Founding Fathers were here today, “there’d be another revolution by morning”! I personally don’t believe that they wrote the Constitution to be a “living document”, one to be changed to suit the needs of the powerful and rich. Truth has become a rare commodity in today’s America. And the strangest thing is that no one seems to care. No one cared that we were lied into a war. And where did this idea come from that not supporting the war means that you don’t support the troops? And in my opinion, The Patriot Act is exactly Orwellian. Okay, my soapbox is put away.
