July 22, 2007 at 9:52 pm #27609yes, very familiar…Fannie is my paternal grandmother. I beleive that Nathaniel Turners parents were Matthew Turner and Virginia “Jenny” jarrell Turner….trying to find Matthew and Jenny’s parents…
July 22, 2007 at 9:52 pm #27624I think this line is:
Nathaniel/ Mathew/ Nathaniel, whose mother was Winifred “Winny”, whose husband apparently died young. The elder Nathaniel may have been Nathaniel Mathew Turner, as both names appear.
It’s my opinion that all of the people listed in this post are actually Indian.

July 22, 2007 at 9:52 pm #27683Hi
I am looking for information on Buck Floyd (Turner?). He was born around 1839 in Northampton County, North Carolina and died in 1919. Most of the information that I found on him list his name as Buck Floyd. I found his death record and he is list as Buck Floyd Turner. On his death record his mother was named Bettie Floyd and his father Ben Turner. I know he had a daughter Susan Floyd who married William High. Also, found a son name James Floyd. Buck was married three time: 1. Kitty (Moody?) 2. Jane Jackson in1866 3. Amanda High in 1901. Do think Buck Floyd is some how connect to Allen Turner and which Ben Turner is he related to.
