The Sidney Pettiford that was born in 1959 was Mable Pettiford’s son
The only Sidney Pettiford I’m finding was born about 1886 in Flat River Twp, Person County whose wife’s name was Blanch (b.abt. 1895) and they had a son named William McKinley, b.abt. 1910 Person Co., and they had a daughter named Mable, b.abt. 1924. This family moved to Cedar Grove Twp, Orange County between 1920 and 1930.
This Sidney Pettiford’s parents were William Pettiford, b.abt.1834 Person County and Sarah Emily _?_ , b.abt.1843 Person County. William Pettiford’s Grandmother was Sarah COZART, b. bet. 1790 & 1800 NC.
