Hey there. My friend, Sara Whitford, who owns the website “Coastal Carolina Indian Center”, now has a genealogy site for those with Eastern Coastal Carolina roots.

She created this website because this region and it’s surnames tends to get overlooked due to it’s isolation from the rest of NC.

Anyone who knows Sara Whitford knows her research is top of the line and we’ve had many conversations on how this region compares to Jamestown in the founding of this country.

Thanks for the links, I am researching my paternal Venters line from coastal NC who lived in Ayden, Pitt, Craven and Beaufort Counties. Thanks again for two great sites.
