I am currently researching both James Moores on the Hawkins co Tn census I believe they are Father and Son the younger one Married a Nancy Gibson. I read somwhere that the older one was in Rev. War Does anyone know if these Moores were also Melungeon? and if so could anyone tell me anything about the older one (not sure when he was born). thanks bparris
What years were your Moores in Hawkins Co., TN? My 5th ggmo was Mary Moor/e, the dau. of Robert Moore. She married Ambrose Williams in VA but lived in Orange Co., NC (Caswell/Stokes) and then to Burke Co., NC where she died during the Rev. War. She had a brother named Jessie who migrated to Cole Co., MO. I haven’t had much time to research my Moor/e Fam. Just thought I’d pass this by you.
