John Branham leased land from Spotswood. Married Rachel Webb Gower (married 1st to Francis Gower) and 2nd to Mary Ann Green. One son Jonathan marries Letita 1727. They have a Beverly Branham. Another son David Branham married Frances Baskett. Died in 1825 Big Mud Creek in Floyd Co ky. Robert Johns of Amherst marries Mary (Monacan) One of their sons Thomas marries Nancy Mehone. Thomas born c1759 Amherst and dies in 1824 Floyd co Ky Mud Creek. Connected I think.
Another son of Robert Johns and Mary is John Alexander Johns married Naomah “Oney” Dillard..Their son John Samuel Johns born c1801 Amherst married Caroline Matilda Tinsley. This is the same Tinsley family that married into the Allen Person co NC line. (Drury brother to my Joseph married Elizabeth Tinsley.)
John Branham and Rachel Webb have a Tavener Branham who has a John who marries Frances Vawter. She the Daughter of Jesse Vawter and Eliz. Watts. Born in Sullivan co Tn.26 Febb. 1785. This Vawter family was on the frontier of southern Ind. preaching (Baptist) pretty well in the wilderness. Vawter and Stott familes are also connected. Numerous Branham Ky and Southern Ind. names.
