Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I found these on this siet:

I am still looking for my grandmother Rebecca Morningstar who lived with a Lightfoot family.
These are families only 2 or 3 counties away from where she lived that were in the 1830 Ohio census. She was born in 1826-7 in Ohio- but was around the Holmes/Wayne area.
Still trying to find if “maybe” any of these families may have had to give a baby girl up or a parent/s died and had children.
Is there anyone who may know anything about any of these families that may have had children lost or given away?
Here are the names of the Saponi of Logon County Ohio census of 1830:
Logan Co, Ohio – 1830 Census – Jefferson Township
Thomas Hill
James Tayborn
Elisha Bird
Rebekah Spears
Henry Newsom
Turner Bird
Peter Banks
John Newsom
Kichen Artes
Sterling Heathcock
Moss Steward
Here is the name of the 1830 Ohio census of Logon county Zane township:
Logan Co, Ohio – 1830 Census – Zane Township
Miles Beard
Here is the name of the other family of Logon County, Ohio 1830 Perry township
Logan Co, Ohio – 1830 Census – Perry Township
Anthony Banks
Now i have been told that “Morningstar” per say is not a “Saponi” name, but I have seen it in the Cherokee rolls- I can not remember (hopefully its the eastern rolls) where I did come across that name.
Anyone have any clues, please let me know.
Thanks you!! 🙂
