Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Well deer season started yesterday here in MO. A lot of deer were taken yesterday. I took 2 large Does so far. My missioin these kast couple of years has been to take as many Does as I can. NOW, I don’t want to miss lead anyone, IF that 30 point Buck stepped out and begged me to shoot I think I would have to help him out. We just have toooooo many deer around here and very fewe are willing to shoot the does in fear that the buck would be scared away. I tried to help my son in law fill some tags to no avail. He is going back out today, I have to go to work. I hope everyone has a good and safe year.

I just hope that with you being native, that everything is used…with no waste. That is what breaks my heart each year…saw hunters in Walmart yesterday (they came from Canada to Person county, NC, go figure) and told them about my husband tanning hides and trying to keep as much as possible from going into the landfill….I think that is just awful. That all these deer each year give their lives and their remains are thrown in the landfill….and so many hunters only take the backstrap and leave the rest….
Aho
