The more and more I look at my family genealogy, the more I have come to realize that Hiram Jones was Saponi. He was from Ohio, never stating a consistent place of birth and no photo.
He started in Ohio, went to Cass or Berrien counties Michigan and ended up in Indiana. And if correct, and to my horror, from what I heard yesterday from hie gr gr grandson, they were both buried out in a corn field in back of a cemetery, while their children were buried in the cemetery.
I wonder if anyone has any pictures of the Jones Saponi families? I would love to see some. 🙂

I did tell you that there was a genealogist/historian who documented the Indian descendants of Cass County, Michigan, didn’t I? Did you ever get ahold of that. I’m trying to remember who did that. It’s been awhile.

I dont believe I ever did get a hold of that person. It has been a while. Let me know when you think of who it was, and I will try again to get a hold who ever it was.
