Hello all…
I have added a new file/picture in my profile under “Family DNA” which show the DNA results recently sent to me by Ancestry.com. My brother agreed to take the paternal DNA test for ones father’s side of the family. I am hoping that this will help us all understand the migration of our family in identifying our ancestors.
The results were R1b listed as the “Artisans,” noted in the write up as the first potential first cave painting people as well as technical tools makers (e/g/ flint…). These ancestors lived in “present-day England, France, Spain or Portugal.” I included the migration pattern on my father’s side. (See the photo/file in my profile).
I have found the info on this site very interesting with a few of my own theories in place — confirming what’s posted here and leaving the door open to further explore…I do see strongly after these results — how the Melungeon tri-racial people would be a a base theory supporting the research posted on Saponi as proof, and something which can’t be deined. My DNA results posted a current 250 ancestoral match (within 70 generations) for my family with familiar surnames listed here on this web site. I just have to make contact to finalize. I found two surnames which are also my mother’s people — interesting, very interesting read.
My theory (from a spiritual perspective) is that our mankind point of origin was all from one central place before the land/continents shifted and we became Nomads so to say. We are who we are based on where we landed and how we survived and raised our children/people — our oral history. But anyway, I hope what I have posted here helps us better understand our ancestors and supports the purpose of why we joined Saponi.
Peace & Blessings
