Cheatham or Taylor surname among Virginia Indians

I am trying to find my paternal ancestors that may have been members of one of the Virginia tribes. My oldest known ancestor is Marcellus Cheatham born in Chesterfield County, Virginia around 1854. His wife was Ella Taylor born about 1855 possibly in Dinwiddie County to William Taylor and Susan Lewis. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
