this is a website you can get a free language book from it is writen by Horatio Hale with the help of Nikonha, also known as Waskiteng and Mosquito, was the last full-blooded speaker of Tutelo
this will be a great help to anyone who wants to learn the language
Spilledi is using Hale’s book, as well as Oliverio’s, to make all the lessons in the sticky posts above.
Holy Cow! Such an immense wealth of knowledge!! The credibility of Hale’s account, I think, is owing to the fact that it is so close in time, and has not been so badly chewed up as the history books of today.
I really got a kick reading about buffalo hunting in North Carolina, I had never heard that before. This information really brings home the oft doubted connection with the ‘Dakotas proper’.
Once more my thanks to the denizens of Saponitown, this really takes it down the road at least for me.
