Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Hi, I’m a new member to the forum but i’ve been scanning through for a week or so. I’ve seen several posts from a while back on the Rogers families from around the Edgecombe County, NC area. I’ve had some trouble with my Rogers line and about as far back as I can prove is with Wiley Rogers born about 1832. He was married to Emily and they had 3 kids, William, Olivia and Levi. They lived in the Johnston/Wayne County area.
I’ve seen that a Willie Rogers married Olive Wasdon on 5/27/1819 in Edgecombe County, NC. I have found Olive in census records and she is shown with several kids including a son named Willie that I’m wondering if he might be my Wiley. The reoccurring names of Olive and Levi lead me to believe they are somehow tied to the family of Trustram Rogers who died in Edgecombe County around 1799.
Help me out guys!!
