Well here is what i know. my grandfather was from coffee or pike co al brundridge al, i may have spelled it wrong. his name was JOSEPH DINKINS STEWART JR his father was JOSEPH DINKINS STEWART SR. His mother was a HOLMES I THINK. I not sure but her first name was either jane or maybe sarah, i could be way off. i think that jd sr’s father fought in the battle on lookout mount tenn. im sorry i cant not remember all the names my sister has all my info at the moment.
i would guess that my STEWARTS CAME FROM SC, GA,AL AND NC.
JD JR was born in 1900. im sure i have some of the dates and names written somewhere in a note book put away somewnere when i find out more ill send you a private message if thats ok.
Are you doing research on the Stewarts?
May 22, 2011 at 6:54 pm #35964Yes, I’m researching Stewarts. I don’t see any connections right off, but my line is mostly in VA and NC.
