Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I wasn’t sure whether to put this here or in “Shoot the breeze” but decided to put it here.
Amy Ralston, a dear personal friend of Becky and me, crossed over Thurs night. She joined Saponitown in 2008 as Painted Horse and used her Ancestry subscription to help many posters for the next couple of years. Becky and I met her years earlier at the local historical society and she helped us find/record most of the cemeteries in our county. This was literally hundreds of cemeteries visited and thousands of tombstones recorded and ancestors remembered. Hundreds of webpages were created and thousands of descendants helped.
She was only in her forties and left 2 children behind. Her husband also passed recently and we wonder if that caused her to quit fighting her own health issues. Her death is harder to fathom than most we have experienced lately. She was a dear sweet person and will be sorely missed by many.
My prayers go out to her family!
