September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36830I should point out that this isn’t the “correct” way to pronounce Tutelo. Since there haven’t been any fluent native speakers in over a hundred years, its just my best guess based on the literature. I’m sure a speaker of Lakota could pronounce these words much better than I. And although I was born in the south, I didn’t stay long enough to pick up the drawl, so my Tutelo is going to sound different from folks in Virginia.
September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36831I’m thinking it would be good to add some goofy pix, like eight baloney sandwiches next to the number eight (balaani) to help remember it. Anybody got any spare time to fool with this? Maybe sketch an aghast-looking bee? Has anyone used a Rosetta stone course? What do they do to make it more intuitive and memorable?

September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36834Hi Stacey,
It works on my computer, but only after I got high speed internet.
September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36835It works for me on Quicktime. Do you have that installed on your machine?
September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36836Is there a way for her to access the new number soundfiles I uploaded yesterday?
September 20, 2010 at 6:01 pm #36837Hi spilleddi and Linda,
Yes, I have high speed internet and QuickTime. Not sure what is going on. I tried my husband’s computer and I get a pop-up box asking if I want to save it, so it works on his. I don’t know. It could be my security setting preventing it.
I did figure out that I can right click on the file names, click “Save Target As…”, and just save them to my computer and listen to them that way.
