Id like to know more about all of the bands listed as Saponi. Ive found and read a bit about:
Hawila – NC
Occaneechi – NC
Ohio
Mahenips – MO
Does anyone belong to or know more about the people in Ohio and/or Missouri?

I know some of the Saponi Nation of Ohio people through facebook groups and email. Some are on the Saponi United facebook group. As I understand it their membership is not limited to residents of Ohio.
There are also some on the Saponi United group who know about the history of the Mahenips Band in MO. There is at least one member of that group that shares common ancestors with me.
Also there is the Haliwa Saponi and Friends and Occaneechi Band of the Saponi Nation facebook groups.
A few other groups that come to mind are the Person County Sappony http://www.sappony.org in VA and the Saponi Descendants Association in TX. The Saponi Descendants Association also has a Facebook presence.
There are also some Saponi descendants in Ontario who are members of the Woodland Métis Tribe.
