Does anyone know if Lucas is a surname linked to Indian heritage? My great grandmother, Arizona Lucas’s mother never married yet had two children. My great grandmother had features one could say were Indian, and the olive skin has been passed down over the generations. Thanks.
I haven’t seen it. Do you know where these people derived from? I’ve figured out what I have about my own native ancestry by first doing a lot of research on the history of the area they originated from. That will likely enable you to pick up a trail.
Lucas is not one that I’ve run across very often. I have seen it throughout some of the records but never really paid it much mind. Could you give us some Counties/States and other surnames that are in your line?
