They’re at it again.
Last week I went to list this site on the Open Directory Search Engine. The category for “Saponi” was listed as not having an editor. I’m an Open Directory editor for a couple of categories, and I know that if there’s no editor for the category, it could mean your submission languishes for weeks before anybody gets to it. So I applied to be editor.
About five days pass and I don’t hear anything. I tried to figure out who the next level editor was, but all I could figure was some guy in Australia who hadn’t logged in since January. So I’m wondering, who do I turn to to get my site listed? What am I going to have to do to find the person who can see to it this site gets listed?
The next day, on a totally different subject, I get a notification that someone I’d conversed with back in January on the Melungeon genforum has posted another message to my topic, I believe mainly prompted by Nicole’s new Other Blackfoot e-list. So I got going on some long post there. He writes me to see if I’d contribute something along those lines to something a friend of his is doing.
In passing he mentions he’s an Open Directory Editor. Guess what category?
Just guess.
If anybody doesn’t know who I’m referring to when I say, “They’re at it again,” refer to my old post on “Family Lore.”
BTW, our site is now listed on Open Directory. If anybody has any links relating to Saponi we can get them listed with Open Directory quick and easy. We got an inside connection. One of our own.
