Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
Recently one of our educated Canadain Conservative politicians sent a congradulatory letter to the head office of the Canadian Indian freindship centers., this letter recognized the thier 50th anniversary of the Indian Republic!
The only catch was that Aboriginal Canadians do not consider themselves to be members of the east India population! That is east Asian Indian population.!
And to think Columbus was the only Euro to be lost, I guess we are still suffer fools!
That reminds me of a funny movie I saw a few weeks ago. I wish I could remember the name. It was about a young Indian fellow (from India) living in New York trying to be an actor. There’s a running joke through the movie where someone refers to the guy as Indian and somebody else corrects them and says, “you’re supposed to say ‘Native American.'” The first time it was funny, but by the third time yet another fool said this, it was hysterical.
