Thanks Judy for this post, I live in Beavercreek, Ohio and have not been able to attend many events this summer. I plan on going and will pass the word on to others here in Ohio.

Judy, I’m thinking I will probably be pulling my camper behind me and most likely I’ll be traveling by myself. I’ll email you my cell # and contact you before I get on 75 South!
I’ll find ya!

Hey Ladies,
I probably need someplace to “crash” since I’m trying to camp totally all by myself it must be the AADD crap happening to me again, and again. Hehe, all jokes aside I thank you Laurie for the offer and hope I will see you there Judy!

Roca,
Yes, they are in walking distance of each other! Wilberforce, Ohio is in Greene, County. Interesting history there for sure!
Linda,
It’s been a while, since the fire or phone numbers have changed like the weather 🙂 I’ll be sending the “currant one” to you. Talk to you soon.
Quest,
I have a couple recipes for fry bread that I will be glad to share with you. They are both simple to make. You probably already have the ingredients to make them.
Many Blessings to you,
tasheaka
Here they are hope you enjoy!
2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspn of salt
1 cup of cool tap water
3 teaspn of baking powder
Cooking oil of your choice
Mix flour, salt and baking powder and slowly stir in tap water
mix with fork , toss and shape bread drop into cooking oil and fry until golden. remove from skillet and place paper towel or paper poke to absord oil.
This one is quick!
2 cups selfrising flour
1/2 teaspn salt
1 cup of buttermilk
Mix flour and salt, slowly ad buttermilk, then work into individual shaped patties and fry in hot oil until brown. Allow oil to drain off on paper poke or paper towel. Funny that this same receipe can be used to make potatoe cakes by adding 2 cups of mashed potatoes and 1 cup of selfrising flour. Really tasty!
You are welcome, hope you enjoy it. Cooking is one of my hobbys and I never have a shortage of reciepe’s!

Well Howdy Linda,
I like the sound of this recipe, I have all the ingredients for this one and will try it. We try to stay away from heavy cooking oil if possible, never tried it this way but the weekend’s coming and my kitchen is my playground. Yeha

Hi Linda,
Our family is planning to camp with you all this year, last year we had too many things going on and vehicle problems on top of everything else. I contacted the park today to determine where the shade is in the camping area, taking medicine that requires avoiding the direct sunlight if possible. Bringing some grandchildren with us! DAYTON via KERR LAKE HOMECOMING!!

Wachiya!
You better believe we want to come down for a campout, don’t know how long we can stay. Several Ohio people have said they would see if they can come also. I just hopped on to see what was going on and now I have the dates! Been kind of busy the last week or so and havent’ had a chance to keep up, somebody said “Tasheaka” and here I am. My family and I are in Dayton, Ohio some are coming from Chillicothe, Bellefontaine, Beavercreek areas. We used to come down in May for the Mother’s day pow wow, June is fine. The 3rd week-end in July is the Border Crossing in New York, this will be our 8th year attending it. Looking forward to seeing all these beautiful faces!!!!

We wondered if you could post some of the upcoming events for this spring/summer? Got quite a few “Ohio” folks who would love to head down your way, we got some new babies to introduce and look forward to sharing some songs and drumming.
Many Blessings,
Tasheaka
Thank you for the information, most helpful!
