Native American genealogy research from the Piedmont of NC & VA
I am trying to find a list of survivors from the 1622 Powhatan Uprising. Any or all of the plantations attacked and sources.
Families that I have seen previously at seperate sites have been:
Johnson
Collins
Hill
Bennett
Basse/Bass
Jefferies
Jones
Evans
Holland
I have looked at some information on Warrascoyack Plantation, but I have not yet seen a complete primary source listing for all who survived from Warrascoyack or other plantations.
Looking for “Records of the Virginia Company Vol. III, 1607-1622 Misc. Documents” possibly found at ancestry.com. I don’t have access to the services at ancestry.com.
Here is a link I was looking at that refered to this:

I have an e-mail out to Assc. History Prof. J. Frederick Fauz in regards to his William and Mary disertation entitled “1622 Powhatan Uprising”.
Here is a link to an article about it:

The following are links to other sites that discuss various families associated with this event. I feel that there may be some possible clues here.
