Sue,
I didn’t see this when you first put it up — saw many Jo(i/y)ners. My great great grandparents are recorded is several census as raising 3 orphans — one was a Nancy Joiner — she married “Alph” Brown, my great geat grandpa’s younger brother. My dad was named after him, but was “Alpha”, not Alfred. My great grandparents (Jeffrey Hoten Richey and Josephine Brown in 1872) were married in the home of “Alph” Brown (Josephine’s Uncle, but he was just 5-10 years older than she was), according to Lawrence county, Arkansas records.
These are a great list of possible Tuscarora surnames.
Thanks Vance.
Hey, is your e-mail box full? Tried to e-mail you and couldn’t.
Have to go back and read the original post now…maybe you have ties here? Sue J
My email was full about a week or 2 ago — should be okay now> I didn’t even knnow about it — had to go to my netwerk provider for help — they said they place junk mail into a folder adn periodically it needs to be emptied — and it is a folder I didn’t even know I had — had to go to their website to locate it.
Should be okay now.
