Hello everyone –

I found the Saponitown Forum while researching my NC/VA/WV ancestors of the surnames ARNOLD – GRIFFITH – WILLIAMS – WISEMAN. Sina Arnold who is mentioned in this 2003 thread: http://www.saponitown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=661 was my g-grandmother Margaret Arnold Cantley’s sister. The family stories handed down through the Cantley side of my family always spoke of some Indian blood, and thanks to your forums I may now have a lead.

I will post more specifics in the Genealogy section. I look forward to sharing information with all of you.

Welcome – Just finished reading about David Rogerson Williams 111 and 2nd ggson of Col. John Chestnut a descendant of Jas and Elizabeth Cantley. I determined I am not related to this Williams Family but it is probably yours. I think David Rogerson Williams is buried in Nashville. Clydene
