I am looking into some Carters aalso I have a Martha Carter born abt
1782 in Rochingham Va. Her mother was one Judith Carter born abt
1760. nothing more has been found so far. Martha’s Dauther Frances
Carter married Covith Jordan. I had in a family Bible another name
Martha went by which was Palay.
On the wife’s side looking for information on Edward Carter born
about 1783 in Va,or N.C married Loucinda Edwards in Patrick Co.
Va.1804. William died in Indiana in 1874

Yes, looks like we have several surnames in common.
Did not yet find Edward Carter and Loucinda Edwards in Patrick CO. But I did find marriage for William Carter and Lucy Edwards. Md in Patrick CO. Nov 14, 1804. Could these be the same people?
The executors of Shadrack Goings’ will, 4 June 1805, were William Carter and William Burge. These were my family’s neighbors.
