My G-Grandmother was Lucindie Davis (b. 1840?) of Halifax County, Brinkleyville Township, NC was of Native American descent. Due to the presence of a number of Siouan people in the region, we have deduced that she must have been of Saponi descent. This along with the fact, the Haliwa-Saponi band is from this same area specific area. Perhaps there is a connection between us that can assist in our research. I hope this information is helpful.
